Calm Day

On our way to visit Phil’s family in Botwood, we visited a place called Lewisport. This gloomy day was painting a grey green cast onto the water giving it an eerie calmness. Bright gold seaweed surrounds the rocky structures that occasionally break the water’s surface. It’s the kind of scene that inspires artists of all stripes.

Side note: Lewisport is also where we bought some dried (and very salty) capelin from a small vendor at a roadside stand. These had an intensely fishy flavour and took some getting used to. Glad I tried them but didn’t bring any home!
